Coding the gap between the developed and the underdeveloped world, between modern forms of poverty, social injustice and ways of escaping it, new socially committed approaches are being constructed, treating the complex present-day social conditions: recycling food in southeast Asia, depopulating and mistreating the Muslim inhabitants of Palestine/Israel, modern forms of economic slavery, marginal position of artists in the society… The Zeitgeist dictates a systematic analysis and critique of new technologies also in relation to the established spheres of economy and law, copyrights and the search for alternative ways out of this grip.
